The Carro ceiling fans come with an AC to 24V DC transformer block in the canopy of the fan. This adapter replaces that with a 48V to 24V DC/DC adapter and allows power and control via the cat5/6 wire.
A separate 48V DC wire input can be used with 20-16 AWG wire so up to 5 fans can be powered from a single homerun power wire, and a single cat5 providing the control signals. Up to 300W per 16 AWG wire.
Presently, the SPC-55W24V-U does not provide control over the fan, but we will work with Carro as soon as our sales volumes get their attention. We have tested control of their fan motor controller, but without their official support, it is still considered an unsupported "hack" and they could change their design at any time so new projects lose expected capabilities. It is likely we will succeed in a partnership arrangement and a stable solution.
In the meantime, you can use the 24V 50W Fan Power Kit Bundle which comes with 2 SIBs and a 50W 48V to 24V adapter that fits in the canopy. Use the wireless remote that comes with the fan for control.
